We Trunked, They Treated!
What an experience! Community Bible Church's (Stockbridge, Ga) annual Trunk-N-Treat event was a huge success and Brande and her family was proud to be a small part of it. Brande did not know what to expect. This was her first Trunk-N-Treat, but it certainly won't be her last. Thousands, and yes, we mean thousands of people attended. The line started forming a good hour before the event and remained hundreds long well into the night!
|
| There was music, food, fun and thousands of kids dressed as their favorite super-hero, cartoon character, monster, ghoul, ghost or gremlin. Cars, trucks and SUVs lined the parking lot decorated for the occasion with their owners handing out candy and other treats to the children as they passed by. |
|
| Having hit the grocery store and filled up her back seat with candy, Brande felt certain she would have plenty to last the night. To her amazement, as the night drew on supplies ran short and she was required to accept candy donated for this purpose by members of the the community. | Brande's daughter, Megan helping to set up for the event and Brande's son Markus ready to trick or treat! | |
Children gleamed as they fooled you into believing they were Superman, a bumble bee, a pirate, or some other character. Some would swing their swords to show their defiance or wave their magic wand to grace you with their good wishes. Others would look away, embarrassed by all of the attention. Some was so small they did not understand the event, but was entertained by all the lights, music and activity.
We trunked, and they treated... they treated us with a wonderful experience we will never forget.
